In the past decade, a renewed ambition and interest has been witnessed among space agencies and governments to return to the Moon.
This time Science seems to be the prevailing driver, but another dynamic has also emerged from the private sector. Commercial actors are looking into the vast opportunities that are associated with lunar exploration, and are more than ever positioned as indispensable partners for institutional players.
In this paper we explore and characterise the 3 key markets for the future of lunar exploration: lunar transportation, lunar data and the in-situ exploitation of lunar resources.
